Close What Dave Expected
Kell’s hand twitched as she stood in front of Dari. Kiren had been forbidden from doing this by Charles, but after a week of living here, even Dari was curious about the claims this experiment kept making. That she was stronger, tougher, and could beat either dragon in a fight.
Now they were going to figure that out. Charles was watching with his preserve issued taser to make sure neither went too far, but otherwise, nothing was to interfere with their challenge of might. Kell was wearing nothing, as was Dari, the former claiming that it was best she have nothing impede her, while the latter was just far more used to fighting like this and would have likely have just destroyed her shirt if she had. The only limitation they had was that they needed to keep it to the backyard. Otherwise, everything else was fair game.
Charles glanced at both of them, making sure they were still, before finally ringing the small bell he had.
It was like letting out a canon. Kell kicked up the dirt behind her as she shot forward, Dari doing much the same, but where as the dragoness stayed in the air, Kell used her tail to bring her down. The smaller opponent crouched there, tensing her entire body as Dari came over her, before slamming upwards, bringing her fists into Dari’s ribs with a sickening crack and launching her almost fifty feet into the air.
That… Was more than either of the Sarafune representatives had expected, and Dari’s eyes filled with tears as she saw Kell crouching on the ground, probably getting ready to follow her into the air. Well, she could come if she liked, the growing scales on Dari would make sure that this second hit wasn’t going to hit. If only she was like Wuiss and could heal when she transformed.
Still, Wuiss wouldn’t have wings yet, and Kell met nothing as she launched herself after Dari, having barely been able to try to get up to her. Dari was able to swing herself around though, her large wings keeping her from the punch, but she didn’t retreat. No, instead she spun around, avoiding the attack only to then try and grab Kell’s arm.
Instead, she found Kell’s tail around her throat. It was all a part of how the experiment had been taught to fight. To do whatever would ensure the opponent stopped moving, and Kell was oddly focused while her shaved, red hair clung to her head. She didn’t quite know how long a dragon could go without air, but she knew the difference between when someone passed out from it, and when they were dead.
Not that she really needed that either. The tail choke also meant that she wasn’t getting away from Dari, and she threw a punch straight for Dari’s face, trying to knock her out. The first one slammed her head back, Dari trying to scream from the all too brutal onslaught. It wasn’t anything like when she and Sarah, or her and Wuiss, fought each other. This… Thing was more like Kiren. It wanted to actually hurt her.
Dari wasn’t about to let that happen, and the second punch hit sharp bone. Kell winced from her knuckles splitting open, and growled as she felt her punch slow. However, now she had her feet planted onto Dari’s stomach, and without leverage, she was still stronger than the dragoness, and got a howl from her as she grabbed Dari’s claws before slamming her head forward, smashing Dari’s nose with her own forehead.
That was the last straw, and Dari’s arms forced Kell to let go as they surged with strength. It wasn’t easy, not with the practically inhuman strength that this experiment had, but when she then dug her own claws into Kell’s arms, they were locked tight.
She then looked forward, and Kell paled. She had been warned of this ‘stage three’ form, and now that she looked at the draconic face mask, she felt a twinge of fear. The fact that she’d almost have to shred her arms to get them out of her grip only made it all the worse.
It was the orange flames that began to form at Dari’s barely open mouth though that convinced Kell it was worth it. It needed precise timing though. Too early, and Dari might not launch her fire and thus be distracted. Too late, and Kell was likely to toasted, to say the least, and she only ever liked that for her sandwiches.
“Dari, no!”
It was too late though for Charles to stop her. Not when she was in so much pain so fast. She was consumed by her rage, everything but her stomach covered in her red scales, and no emotion showing through the mask that came with this form. She needed to at least incapacitate this enemy before she could calm down.
Or, well, when she missed Kell, light half of Dave’s house on fire in a stream of glorious, orange flames.

“And that’s why Kell is hospitalized too.”
Dave sipped a diet coke, looking at the smoulders of his house, humming to himself. “Tell me, would it have been much worse if Kiren and her had fought?”
Charles swallowed hard, scratching his head a little. “Dari isn’t nearly as strong as her sister, or as good a fighter. While Kell is impressive, and could probably beat my Sarah, I don’t think Kiren would have needed to go stage three to get the upper hand like Dari did. She would have at least been able to match Kell by stage two.”
“And if she had reached stage three?”
“Then if Kell still dodged the fire blast… I think about half of your neighborhood would have been on fire before the fire got put out. Then again, that’s just speculation on my part. I’d never even seen Dari in stage three before today.”
Dave hummed to himself before sipping his Coke again. “It’s a good thing none of this is canon.”
“Ooooh yeah.”
Author’s Note: And that’s the end of these games. The meme had a few other ones I was tempted to do, with one of them even being an epic fight again, but Sarah vs. Dari would not have been as interesting, and I don’t want to give poor Dari a mental breakdown after she almost lost her fight with Sarah. However, this was fun, gave us a good eight posts to play with, and I may see about doing more of these silly sorts of memes and the like for non-canon weekend posts in the future, as well as tag them from the beginning as both non-canon and weekend posts so they’re easier to find.
And I just had the idea of Dari and/or Kiren against Godzilla… Too bad this isn’t a Sarafune website!
