Pizza 2

Asa strode into the Pizza Hut they had ordered from, scowling at the man at the counter. Her look could kill lesser man, but the poor manager who was working that day had been pretty bored, and ignored the fact that death was staring him directly in the face.

Instead, he took in the outfit she wore. Or, mostly, two pieces of it. A pink, frilly tutu, and a fancy tiara made of cheap plastic on her head. He opened his mouth to say something, but only got a cold, malicious, “Don’t say a damn thing,” back.

Unfortunately, he was still bored, so he just grinned and said, “Alright, your majesty.”

Kell tapped Sarah’s shoulder as the they all watched from Dave’s car Asa picking up the pizza. “I thought I wasn’t allowed to hurt people, so why is Asa allowed to grab that man like that?”

Sarah swallowed hard, feeling a little sick as she watched her admittedly crass friend scream so loud they could hear the muffled shouts from where they were parked outside. “Um… Well, you see, Asa has something we call anger issues, and, um… We have to acknowledge that those people need help and not to be antagonized. This is an example of someone antagonizing her… I hope.”

Dave merely leaned back in his chair, still smiling from the look on Asa’s face when she saw the two accessories, and a slight chuckle escaping him as he still didn’t have to tell her why he had them.

All that mattered was that he had them, and she wasn’t allowed to take them off until they got back home.

I believe this is still the shortest post I’ve written. I try to avoid ones this short as I feel it risks having been able to be a part of the last post, but I liked leaving the suspense about the outfit for now.

Pizza 1

“Well, I mean, pepperoni is almost always good.”

“Yeah, but it’s so strong, and it might drown out the peppers.”

“I already said no to peppers. I think they’re wastes of space anyways.”

“Asa! You know how much I like the crisp they add though!”

“You don’t get pizza for ‘crisp’! Who does that? Who would ever do that?”

Dave raised an eyebrow at the two girls who were sitting on his couch as he came back in from the garage. While he could claim to have many questions, most of them were irrelevant. They were talking about pizza, so now all that mattered was pizza. Otherwise you risked a real fright breaking out when someone suggests grabbing Taco Bell to go or something for lunch.

Then again, that might just be a construction thing.

He waved the worry away before leaning against the hallway wall, as he had come in from the back/kitchen, and Asa and Sarah were on the couch in the living room. “So, why are you two getting pizza?”

Sarah chirped up, “Three, and it’s because customarily, when one moves, they get pizza and share it with their friends. We just need to decide on a type of pizza, especially while using our limited funds.”

Asa then piped up with, “Which means probably a large, three topping pizza, with no peppers!”

“But Asa!”

Dave smirked a little as the two began bickering again. “Shouldn’t you ask Kell what she wants if she’s getting the pizza too?”

Asa spoke first with, “She didn’t earn any of the money, and besides, it’s pretty easy to know that Kell wants meat. The fact that she likes bread surprises me with the shark’s maw she can possess at times.”

Sarah smiled a little at the memories of her friend surprising her with some of her modifications, before adding, “Besides, decision making like this and debates makes Kell’s head hurt, so we didn’t want to inconvenience her.”

“Okay… but then why does Asa get a voice in this when, from what I’ve heard, Sarah is the only one of you three whose worked?”

Asa opened her mouth before clamping it shut and glaring daggers at Dave. Sarah instead just took this as her trump card and shouted out, “So we’re getting peppers!”

“God damnit.”

Dave shook his head, before walking towards a desk that was in the corner of the room. It was an oddity amongst the rest of the downstairs. Not because a desk didn’t belong, especially a fine crafted, wooden one like this, but because it had a desktop computer on top of it. One Asa had already looked at and cringed because of when she saw it had all of two gigs of RAM.

Now though, Dave got onto it and began to search for something while also pulling out a pen and paper. “Why don’t you two just both tell me what sort of pizza you’d like, and I can get us all three mediums or something, especially since you’re gonna need my van anyways. That is, unless you planned to bring everything back on foot.”

Both of the girls stopped for a moment, before Sarah began with, “Wow, that would be wonderful. Thank-”

“So what do you want in return?”

“Asa! This man has been kind enough to welcome us into his home. You should not so quickly think that-”

“No, she’s right.” Dave smirked at them. “If she really wants to pay me back, then I think  have something in the garage that she can wear while we take care of all of this.”

Asa paled for a moment, before gritting her teeth. “Bring it, old man.”

A two parter about pizza? Yep, because pizza. Also, I’m that boring guy whose go to is just pepperoni.

Stealth

Asa yawned as she made her way downstairs. She was the first up and out of bed again, mostly due to suffocation, but now was silent as she moved. Not only was this to make sure her friends didn’t wake up, but also to hide her presence from Dave. She hadn’t looked around the house yet after all, and she was ready to find out whatever she could about their new landlord.

She hit the landing at the bottom of the stairs without any sort of noise despite the tile that she found herself on. It was a little odd of a choice, as the rest of the house was carpeted, though she supposed it might have been due to this also being right in front of the door, so people could take their shoes off here if they needed to. She’d left hers upstairs though and now wore white socks to disguise her movements.

Swift as shadows she darted into the dining room, her eyes scanning what she could. The bookshelf had no standouts immediately. The headboard at the back of the room caught her attention more, as it was littered with small cards, pictures, and even a possible award or two. Not that she expected them to be of much importance. He was just some boring construction worker after all.

No, while she could get info on him in here, this had also been the one room she’d gotten the best look at before being ushered upstairs before, making it the least important.

Moving past it, she froze as Dave stood in the entryway of the kitchen, eating what looked like a grilled cheese as he leaned against his refrigerator. She hadn’t expected another room to be directly past the dining room, and now paid for the mistake. At least, until he said, “The third step from the top creaks, miss ninja.”

Now she only could feel embarrassed as she straightened herself and crossed her arms. “I-I knew that. I just, um, like to walk like that.”

Dave smiled a little at the lie, before looking behind him. “The pan is still hot, if you’d like a grilled cheese too. I can even make you some chili if you’d like, though I’ll need to use a new pot if I do. I have the other one soaking, because if you don’t-“

“Then the sauce begins to harden and it becomes a much greater hassle to clean later.” Asa smiled smugly as she turned towards Dave, only to find him still holding that same stupid smile as before. “I’m not an idiot. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to see the real ones so easily.”

Dave took another bite of his sandwich, deciding that that would be easier to do than biting his tongue. Instead, he decided a more… tactful approach. “Well, I’m sorry then. I just didn’t take you much for a homebody, so I wanted to be safe than sorry.”

Asa turned away from him, not liking being under that homely gaze for so long. It brought up too many questions that she still wasn’t getting answers for. “Well, there’s a lot you don’t know about me, and plenty you probably never will.”

Dave put his sandwich down with a small sigh before clapping the crumbs from his hands. “I could say the same about myself, at least if you aren’t willing to start asking me some questions. You can even keep up your tough girl act for your friends if you ask them now, so,” he said as he spread his arms out, “what do you want to know?”

Asa was silent for a few moments, before she began walking down the hallway that was in front of the kitchen, and that she assumed led back to the living room. “What channel is the Discovery channel?”

Dave just let out a slow breath of air at the response, knowing he should have seen this coming despite her age. “Thirty-two.” He then went back to his sandwich, though chewing a little slower than he had before now.

Sleeping In

Dave hummed to himself as he walked into the house, slapping his hands together to get rid of any loose dust on them. It had been a good trip to Home Depot, and in the bag in his hands were the small things he would need to add locks to the guest rooms. In his garage were the things that made the trip take so long, and what made him itching to get lunch over with.

Of course, he now had three girls with probably empty stomachs, so he would need to make sure they hadn’t raided his pantry yet. Otherwise, he might have to go old school Convent rules on them. Then again, that was thinking that any of them other than Kell could lift an ax.

That did raise the question for where they had gone. He had taken a pretty big risk bringing them in here. They could have robbed him blind, been ready with weapons when he got back, but instead his house was fine. Even normal he would say.

That didn’t mean he didn’t need to still check on them though, and he made his way slowly upstairs to see if they were in their rooms perhaps. After all, they were young adults, and getting up as early as they did wasn’t normal for them. He would almost bet on it.

He would just need to gently wake them…

He blinked for a moment as he stared at the crowded bed in Asa and Sarah’s room. Kell’s breasts were smothering Asa’s head, who looked like she could barely breath while she slept. Asa on the other hand, caused him to think the brat had undressed as he could see her bra wrap now with how the blanket had slipped down. And Sarah, who had moved in her sleep, was not at face level with the other two, but instead had a foot hanging out of the top of the blanket.

He simply… stared for a few moments, before turning around and closing the door. They were college age after all, so he couldn’t judge them for experimenting too much while they were alone.

Besides, he had plenty to process without any of… that. Including what he wanted for lunch.

Did you think that was the only piece? No! Demon Chester graced us with a full sized Kell as well, instead of just chibi, so I hope you enjoy her like this too!

A Room To Yourself

Dave opened up the front door to the house with the three girls behind him. He felt a little nostalgic as he watched the three walked in. Asa looked like she was about ready to run away at any second, while Sarah looked like a little child being let into a candy store. Kell though kept herself small, with her hair changing to blue and all the way down to the small of her back as she crossed into the little entryway that was there.

Dave then walked in himself, smiling a little as he looked around. It was the same place it had been for over twenty years now. Right in front of him was a staircase leading up to the bedrooms, to the right was a dining room with a large bookcase, a large dresser that had been opted into a stand at the back wall, and a square table in the middle to tie it all together. To his left was the living room, with a small couch, two recliners for when he had company, and a television that was set into a large, wooden cabinet, and he smiled as he thought about whether he would need to close the cabinet up so these three weren’t always just staring at it all the time.

Then again, he liked relaxing with a good comedy at night, so he couldn’t really complain too much if they liked their television too.

Asa put a hand on the wooden banister leading up to the second floor. “You really like wooden furniture, don’t you? We’re lucky that you don’t have a park bench for a couch I bet.”

Dave merely shook his head, not bothering to respond to her. Of course, if he had, he might have had to admit how annoying it was when he’d had no soft cushions to sit on in his house because all of the furniture had been made of wood.

Instead, he led them up, keeping quiet as he took it step by step. He wasn’t too much in the mood for talking right now, even with the three girls chattering behind him. He just wanted to get this done so he could head out and get what he needed to done.

He wasn’t about to just let them choose their bedrooms though. No, he was deciding that, and, after showing them the bathroom that was at the top of the stairs, turned to his left. There were two doors on this side of the small hallway; one directly in front of him, another to his left. He tapped first on the one directly in front of him, before stating in as even of a tone as he could manage, “This door is already locked, and is private for me. You shouldn’t ever have a reason to go in it, got it?”

Asa opened her mouth, before his eyes met her and she, much like the other two, merely nodded, though with a touch more panic in her movements. Once Dave was satisfied, he opened up the one to his left and let it swing open. Inside, the room was completely sparse, except for two beds that were set against the far wall from the door, and the wall to the right of it.

Dave let them all walk in before spreading open his hands. “Asa, Sarah, this is your room. It’s a little bigger than the other one, and is already set up for two people. We’ll go and get you some more furniture another time too. Otherwise, what do you think?”

Asa sat down on her bed, patting it a bit, while Sarah jumped onto hers, letting her knees slam into it and bounce her up which, in her current attire, was just a touch immodest of her and Dave looked to the ceiling as he muttered something under his breath.

Asa, after another moment of being quiet, finally nodded to herself. “I guess it works. I’ll probably have to live without any internet though, won’t I?”

Dave chuckled for a moment as he shook his head. “Don’t worry. Some of the nerdier kids in my crew made sure I got that Google Fiber stuff when it became available, though I don’t really use it. Got a nice legacy plan though for unlimited data though, so I haven’t bothered to drop it yet.”

Asa’s eyes shone for a moment, before she just laid back on the bed. “Well then, we better head to IKEA soon. I can’t wait to start str-”

Asa jumped out of her skin as she was suddenly presented with Dave’s face about an inch from her before he hissed out, “We don’t speak that blasphemous name here. When I say furniture, I mean Home Depot and probably hand made.”

Asa, not in the mood to fight, just held her hands up as she hastily said, ‘Yes sir!”

Sarah merely chuckled a little as she watched Dave get up, and before he got more than a step towards the door, she stood up. “Th-Thank you. This means a lot to all of us, I promise, and we promise not to break anything while we’re here.”

Dave paused for a moment, before nodding and grabbing Kell by the shoulder. For a normal person, this grip might have been a bit too tight, or rough, but Kell didn’t notice as they walked to the other end of the hallway.

Here, the situation was the opposite. The door to the right of the two of them was to Dave’s room, so once again off limits, while the one in front of him was the one for guests. Or, more accurately, had a bed in it, but was otherwise a small study for Dave when he had business to do, complete with a small desk against the wall, and a couple pictures on the walls that were framed to the golden days.

And it was all for Kell as he whispered, “This is your room, all to yourself.”

Kell stepped forward, twisting her head around to the corners of the room. She walked slowly, almost as if scared, before turning back to him. “Just… for me? No cameras, no people watching Kell? Or monitoring her?”

Dave shook his head, keeping his head down. “Nope. Just yours to find privacy in. I’ll even probably be moving a lot of my office stuff out to the garage so you can make it feel more personal.”

Kell sat down on the lumpy, old mattress, before lying down and curling up on it, her hair turning to a shining gold as shook her head, and tears began to fall down her cheeks. “No, it’s perfect as it is. Thank you.”

Dave swallowed hard, not managing to choke out any words through his clogged throat. Instead, he merely headed for the stares, letting his own tears fall as he headed to get the girls their locks, and a few more things he knew he might need.
